Design & Innovation Training Studio

Funded through Driving Possibilities, the new IN-MaC University of Evansville Design & Innovation Training Studio will serve as a hub for STEM experiences and training for students, teachers, administrators, support staff, college students, and community members.

Field Trips

  • STEM Studio Experience
    • One focused activity or multiple activities with stations
  • Tour of UE
  • Can add classroom visit for prep skills beforehand
  • Can add Chemistry Club Experiment Session

Technology Training Professional Development

  • Full or Half Day on UE Campus
  • A few hours after school or weekend at school building or on UE campus
  • Technology intro or extra help lesson at school building

Open Lab and Events

  • Spend additional free time working with technologies
  • Free tutoring
  • Community Events - students are encouraged to bring their families
  • Women in STEM Celebration coming March 2025

School/Classroom/Site Visits

  • STEM Coordinator determines activity based on location, ages, and number of students
    • Can be individual STEM class, entire grade, or multiple grades
  • Mobile Innovation Lab

Classroom Lesson Enrichment

  • Are your students struggling with a specific topic, learning objective, or standard?
  • Real world and technology application & integration
  • Debunk difficult topics and create tangible understanding

Tech Class and Honors Contracting

  • EDUC 265 - Roles & Applications of Technology in Education
  • Technology integration projects can be added to class assignments to receive Honors Program credit when arranged with professor before add/drop period

Open Labs and Events

  • Spend additional free time working with technologies
  • Free tutoring
  • Community Events - students are encouraged to bring their families
  • Women in STEM Celebration coming March 2025

Tech Support and Help

  • Get help with current assignments and projects
  • DIS tech support and questions – anyone in DP schools using DIS technologies
